DR. ADNAN MANSOOR
Prof. Adnan Mansoor, a consultant hematopathologist and Professor at the University of Calgary, obtained his undergraduate degree from Punjab University in 1983, completed fellowships and residencies at prestigious institutions such as St. Thomas Hospital London, National Cancer Institute at NIH, Bethesda USA, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. With over 75 published research papers on blood cancer, Prof. Mansoor has advanced genomic techniques in cancer biology while working under prominent academic leaders like Dr. Elaine Jaffe and Dr. Stetler-Stevenson.
As division head of Hematopathology and Transfusion Medicine at the University of Calgary (2004-2014), he developed an advanced, integrated center, fostering innovation and collaboration. Prof. Mansoor is also an active community worker, serving the local Muslim community for over 25 years, earning awards like the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Award for his professional service and community engagement. His dedication to research, teaching, patient care, and community service has had a profound impact on countless lives within and beyond the University of Calgary.
